Bulk load bookmarks into Mozilla Firefox

Recently, I needed to add a batch of URLs into Mozilla Firefox as bookmarks. This is an operation I would call bulk loading of bookmarks and it seems there is no easy solution available. For that reason, I’ve developed a small JavaScript application that does the job.

You can find the application here: Bulk load bookmarks into Mozilla Firefox. It should be noted that the application does not work as is. For security reasons, Mozilla Firefox does not give the necessary privileges for it to run. Don’t forget that this application wants to access your bookmark data and it is for good reason that Mozilla Firefox denies it. Otherwise, malicious web applications could steal or inject bookmarks into your browser. The only way to execute the application is to save the web page by means of File -> Save Page As and then open it from your local file system.
